The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on a range of tours within a team of high calibre professionals ensuring our guest experience is the very highest level of service and safety.
Our operations currently include:
- Liveaboard style accommodation on Lady Musgrave HQ Pontoon permanently moored at Lady Musgrave Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef
- Lady Musgrave Island full day tours departing Bundaberg Port Marina Daily
- Whale Watching ½ day tours departing Bundaberg Port Marina
- Outer Reef Diving Experiences on the Southern Great Barrier Reef
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work both on our day tours and as a host/guide for overnight accommodation onboard HQ Pontoon reef accommodation. Day tours and overnight transfers operate daily via Bundaberg Port Marina.
Marine biology, Master Reef Guide qualifications, Eye on the Reef training, multi-lingual and/or previous experience working on the Great Barrier Reef would be advantageous.

Sales & Marketing Coordinator
About the role:
Explore an exciting new career path at Lady Musgrave Experience. We are seeking a creative and passionate Sales & Marketing Coordinator – a combined role of both digital marketing and internal/external sales. This is a 12 month maternity cover contract, reporting and working closely to the Marketing Director. This integral role will provide support across all market segments, to action trade proposals and contracts in a timely manner, and assist with and attend trade events/workshops/webinars, presentations and familiarisation trips.
Marketing scope includes but is not limited to support in the execution of Lady Musgrave Experience’s marketing and communications activities, production and placement of advertising, online marketing and social media management, electronic mailing, media relations, database management, collateral production, end of month reporting, partner marketing activities, and promotional tracking.
Education & Experience Required:
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business Management and/or
- Previous experience in a sales and marketing role
- Opportunity to be upskilled with the support of Marketing Director
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office and Google Analytics

Bookings Office Administrators:
Lady Musgrave Experience are seeking suitably qualified casual bookings/reservations administrators. The successful applicants will work in our busy Bargara office and must be available for immediate start.

Chef
Lady Musgrave Experience are seeking a suitably qualified Chef or Cook for overnight hosting onboard Lady Musgrave HQ pontoon ‘sleep on the reef’ accommodation.
The successful applicant will be responsible for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner for up to 26 guests with rotating set menus. Roster week comprises of 4 days on and 3 days off. Responsibilities also include all food and alcohol ordering and stock control. Applicants must be exceptional communicators and customer service providers looking for a career in an exciting fast paced work environment. Preference given for those who are available for immediate start.

– Marine or tourism industry experience will be seen as advantageous

Dive Instructors / Dive Masters:
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a range of diving experiences from Introductory Dives through to Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving Courses. You will work as part of a high calibre team of professionals ensuring our guest experience is the very highest level of service and safety.
Divers will guide day and overnight guests across a vast array of experiences from Mandarin Fish night dives to Manta Rays and Sharks on the Outer Reef during the day. Diving activities cover a vast range of sites located on the Southern Great Barrier Reef including however not limited to:
- Lady Musgrave Island Lagoon & Outer Reef
- Fairfax Island
- Hoskyn Island
- Boult Reef
- Lady Elliot Island
What you will bring to the role:
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- broad knowledge of the marine environment, particularly coral reef systems
- provide an interactive yet safe diving experience
- strong organisational skills
- a team player attitude
- Preference may be given to instructors/masters who can speak multiple languages.
- Marine Biology degree or coxswain/master V is an advantage however not necessary

- PADI or SSI Instructor / Master certification
- AS 2299 diving medical certificate
- Dive Instructor / Master Insurances
- Oxygen Provider(Qld WPHS recognised)

Master 35m (IV), Master 24m (V) & Coxswain:
In this role you will be central to ensuring our guests experience the very highest levels of service and safety whilst in charge. You will posses excellent customer service and communication skills, be a confident and experienced Master. Previous experience in supervising large groups with the ability to engage and motivate both staff, and our guests. Your attention to detail will be key in this role, as will strong organizational and communication skills.
As a Master within this company you will:
- Strive to excel in delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and crew by implementing vessel safety procedures, monitoring and addressing crew and passengers’ adherence to vessel safety procedures, conducting regular safety drills, ensuring thorough induction and training of all employees, and implementing emergency procedures as required.
- Possess exceptional boat handling skills
- Acknowledge the ultimate responsibility for all safety aspects of any vessel in your charge or management
- Ensuring your vessel (s) is maintained in clean, seaworthy and mechanically sound state
- Be responsible for all property, including vessels and any equipment.
- Have a disciplined and strong work ethic and take pride as a professional Master always looking for ways to improve.
- Be a confident communicator able to provide informative and engaging commentary to guests whilst on tour.
You will be a team player who will bring to the role:
- Master Class V 24m (AMSA) Certificate, Master Class IV 35m (AMSA) Certificate or Coxswains Certificate with high speed ferry experience preferred (glass bottom boat experience or similar for Coxswain)
- Med 1 / Med 2 would be beneficial although not necessary
- Proven experience as master on similar vessels, preferably with experience on reef operations
- Preferred dive experience
- Current First Aid, Oxygen therapy & CPR Certificates
- Previous experience working on passenger vessels and a thorough understanding of Vessel Safety Operations and Marine Safety
- Current Driver’s License.
- Exceptional management skills including initiative and interpersonal skills.

- Broad knowledge of the marine environment, particularly coral reef systems

MED 1:
In this role you will be central to ensuring our vessels are maintained to the highest standard. You will posses excellent customer service and communication skills, be a confident and experienced Engineer. Previous experience in maintaining all systems on high speed passenger vessel. Your attention to detail will be key in this role with a focus on preventative/scheduled maintenance.
As Marine Engineer within this company you will:

- Ensure the safety of passengers and crew by implementing all required safety checks, scheduled maintenance and safe vessel operations.
