Our Junior Reef Keeper Program is designed to ignite a passion for environmental conservation in the youth, nurturing them to become the next generation of dedicated reef warriors. This program is open to young individuals aged from 6* to 17 years, offering them a unique chance to gain in-depth knowledge about the intricate reef ecosystem and its fascinating inhabitants.

Participants will not only learn about the diverse marine life that calls the reef home but will also contribute to genuine, impactful research aimed at safeguarding the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The program covers a range of educational activities, including learning how to identify and classify various marine animals, understanding how to conduct surveys and monitor the health of corals and the reef, and acquiring leadership skills to disseminate this valuable knowledge among family, friends, peers, and the broader community.

As Junior Reef Keepers, these young environmentalists will undertake a series of conservation missions, each designed to make a tangible impact on reef preservation.
