At Lady Musgrave Experience we depart every day out of Bundaberg and head to the most stunning turquoise lagoon on the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Lady Musgrave lagoon – the only navigable lagoon on the whole of the Great Barrier Reef.
The Queen of the Sea – the Reef Empress, our 35 metre luxury catamaran sails out of Bundaberg straight over to Lady Musgrave Island & Lagoon and will have you all speechless when you arrive at the Great Barrier Reef. The colours of the lagoon are all the blues you cna think of!
You’ll have a host of options that you can decide on. Snorkelling for the day along the colourful reef wall full of beautiful pristine corals & colourful tropical fish. Snorkel amongst a host of marine life species, like our resident turtles, manta rays and anything else we come across the lagoon. The snorkelling is absolutely gorgeous, however if you don’t want to get wet, you can always go on our glass bottom boat. See first hand the coral bommies, turtle cleaning stations and then onto the coral cay Lady Musgrave Island itself.
When on the island you have a guided tour it’ll take you through an interesting marine forest landscape where you will see & learn about a host of native birds. If you’re lucky during turtle season a number of little hatchlings may be making their way out of their nest and into their journey of life. An experience that really is something else you can picture on a tropical island on the Great Barrier Reef.
Following the walk you can come back onto the Reef Empress we will have a sumptuous lunch waiting for you. You can of course go snorkelling again in the afternoon & take a different direction this time discovering new parts of the reef. With so much to explore, the colour, the vibrance, the WoW factor it’s just something that just sticks with you forever.
Keen scuba divers are in for a real treat, you’ve got the whole reef to explore! We cater for all levels of skills and experience from novice to professional and can complete introductory lagoon dives or the whole amazingly remote and pristine Bunker Group depending on the time you are with us out on the Reef. Just let us know in advance and we can create a diving experience that will last forever. Beautiful big corals, the options for you really are quite endless.
