Wellness & Yoga Retreat On The Great Barrier Reef

This is an all-inclusive retreat, surrounded by the turquoise blue waters of Lady Musgrave Island. Daily wellness activities will be sure to refuel your spirit with nature’s beauty in the water encountering the resident marine life and coral in the lagoon. By night, retreat to Lady Musgrave HQ for a good night’s sleep under the stars on your Queen glamping bed or next to the fishes in the underwater observatory.
This retreat has been well designed to allow guests to be guided by the skilled instructors including Katie from Happiness Yoga who will be leading restorative practices through movement and breath and Amy practicing pilates and gentle yoga flow on stand-up paddleboards.
Lead Yoga Instructor Katie said the Yoga and Wellness Retreat provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore a pristine natural environment while revitalising the body, mind and spirit. All the activities are developed to create relationships.
Participants have the opportunity to build new relationships with their physical health, create new friendships with other energetic and enthusiastic adventurers, forge a personal bond with the island and enrich their connection to nature and the reef in the quiet hours before tours arrive.

Lady Musgrave HQ provides a place of happiness and creativity, with a variety of physical, mental and spiritual wellness aspects covered, in amongst the beauty of Lady Musgrave Island and Lagoon; each guest has their own keepsake journal to create personal art pieces to take away and treasure while also building life-long friendships with your tribe of retreat participants.

Activities:
Energy and Alignment – Open to all levels, we have a variation available for every yogi from beginner to advanced. Begin the day by getting your energy flowing with a blend of meditation, yoga and pilates flow that will work the whole body.
Afternoon pilates flow and stretch, and restorative yoga sessions will be a relaxing blend of yoga and pilates suitable for all levels to release tension through the use of props and breath work.
Restoration through Movement and Breath – The restorative practices led by Katie draws upon the wisdom of the elders and music with deep bass tribal beats, to provide participants with space to enter a dream-like state where letting go is easy.
Mindful Space & Creative Connections – Journals are provided as part of your retreat for you to engage in a number of creative endeavours to reconnect to your inner self.
Breathing to the Medicine Drum – Throughout the weekend there will be spaces where we breathe together to the beat of a medicine drum. Breathing is usually done via the autonomic nervous system without any consciousness.
